A cold front passed yesterday evening, leaving behind clearer skies and cooler temperatures. The high-pressure system that it left behind will move out by Tuesday causing the moisture to come back into the area. Temperatures will gradually rise back up over the span of the week, allowing for some of that severe weather to make its way back into the forecast accompanied with daytime heating. These rain and storm chances are due to an upper level trough moving across the country close to the region. There will be multiple shortwaves preceding this trough that will be the cause of much of the moisture earlier in the week.
