Forecast Discussion:  Our weather continues to be dominated by a ridge of high pressure that is currently centered just to our east in Louisiana.  Therefore, we will continue to have calm or light winds overnight which will help our low temperatures dip back into the low 70s (although it won’t really feel that much different then the mid-70s).  Any thunderstorms that form should remain near the Gulf coast, and we should remain dry until at least early Wednesday when a weak low pressure system from the west temporarily weakens the ridge.  We may start seeing the sea breeze kick of some afternoon showers and thunderstorms to our south after this, giving us a small chance for isolated thunderstorms each day.  We are definitely starting to settle into our typical summertime weather pattern;—hot and muggy with a slight chance for an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm.
