An approaching cold front in north Texas has given us hope of rain this evening in central Texas. Although the front will not make it to the Brazos Valley to cool off temperatures, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible, mainly to the north and east of College Station. Parts of east Texas could continue to see some of this rain into Saturday. The seabreeze off the gulf may also trigger convective development tonight and tomorrow. Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies return Sunday, however models suggest a shortwave trough moving into north Texas by Monday and southeast Texas by Tuesday, with more thunderstorms possible. High temperatures are to remain in the upper 90s over the next several days.
