Thursday Night: Partly cloudy skies with a low of 75. Winds from the south around 5-10 mph.
Forecast Discussion: It was a dry and quiet afternoon in the Brazos Valley, with temperatures in the upper 90s but feeling like triple digit heat with heat index values in the 100s. Tomorrow expect much of the same heat wise, with afternoon temperatures around 97 and heat index values in the triple digits. The weak cold front that went through central Texas yesterday left things nice and dry in our area which will allow temperatures to warm up quickly with the heating of the day. As winds become more southerly by Friday, an increase in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will bring the chance for some still much needed rain. We will see this moisture in the form of clouds and possibly some afternoon showers and thunderstorms for most of the weekend.
